Net Profit on Pazarama 2026: Commission, Service Fee and All Deductions

How net profit is calculated on Pazarama: commission (VAT-inclusive price × rate + 20% VAT), the per-shipment service fee of 4.75 TL + VAT, shipping, 1% withholding tax and VAT payable — with a step-by-step example.

Selling a product for 300 TL on Pazarama does not mean 300 TL lands in your pocket. On this channel — positioned as a subsidiary of Türkiye İş Bankası and growing fast in recent years — most sellers know the commission rate but set their price without accounting for the fixed per-shipment service fee, the VAT stacked on top of commission, shipping, the 1% withholding tax, and VAT payable. The result: profit is thinner than you think, and on some low-priced items it turns negative. In this article we break down net profit on Pazarama from a seller’s point of view, line by line, with a step-by-step example.

Why is net profit on Pazarama calculated differently?

The most critical distinction is which amount the rate is applied to and whether VAT is stacked on top. On Pazarama the category commission rate is applied to the VAT-inclusive sale price, and a separate 20% VAT is then added on top of the resulting commission. This differs from Trendyol’s model of “commission is calculated from the VAT-inclusive price and the VAT is already inside that amount, nothing is added on top”: at the same rate the deduction on Pazarama is 20% higher. A seller coming from Trendyol who prices with the same logic overstates their Pazarama margin.

The second difference is specific to Pazarama: there is a fixed per-shipment service fee, independent of commission (reference 4.75 TL + VAT). It is not a percentage but a fixed TL amount deducted on every shipment, and it appears as a line separate from commission. On a cheap product it grows large in proportional terms — we show this with numbers below.

All the rates we give are reference figures. Verify the exact commission rate, per-shipment service fee and payout term that apply to your store from your Pazarama Partner (İş Ortağım) panel; a category update or campaign can change these values.

Two core rules

On Pazarama, commission amount = VAT-inclusive sale price × category rate, and what is deducted on the commission line is commission amount × 1.20 (plus 20% VAT). In addition, every shipment carries a fixed 4.75 TL + VAT service fee, separate from commission. Saying “the rate is what gets deducted” without the VAT on top understates the real deduction.

A small illustration: on a sale with a VAT-inclusive price of 240 TL, assume a 15% commission. The commission is 240 × 15% = 36 TL, plus 20% VAT of 7.20 TL, for a total of 43.20 TL. So a 15% rate is effectively a deduction of 18% of the VAT-inclusive price. Note: Pazarama publishes no official commission base or VAT statement; the tool assumes VAT-inclusive price × rate × 1.20 — verify the exact amount on your commission invoice. To break down the commission line in detail, use the Pazarama commission calculator.

The per-shipment service fee: Pazarama’s separate fixed deduction

Most net-profit questions on Pazarama get tangled here, because sellers assume the fee is part of commission. It is not — the service fee is a completely separate line: a fixed 4.75 TL per shipment plus 20% VAT, i.e. 4.75 × 1.20 = 5.70 TL. It is independent of the product value — 5.70 TL on a 50 TL product and 5.70 TL on a 500 TL product alike.

Two practical consequences follow:

  • A fixed item distorts the ratio: because the fee is TL rather than a percentage, it eats a large proportional share of a low-priced sale. On a 30 TL product, the 5.70 TL service fee alone is about 19% of the sale — before commission, shipping and withholding.
  • A bigger basket dilutes it: if you ship several products in one shipment, the fee is per shipment, so its per-unit cost drops. Multi-packs and sets thin out this fixed item.

Verify the exact amount and VAT rate from your panel per your contract; 4.75 TL is a reference and can be updated by a campaign or category revision.

Category commission ranges (reference)

The figures below are approximate references based on Pazarama’s general category structure. The general band is roughly 8–19%; it approaches the upper band in fashion, cosmetics and accessories, and the lower band in electronics and phones. Deviations by sub-category and campaign are normal — verify the exact rate from your Pazarama Partner panel:

  • Fashion, apparel: about 19%
  • Cosmetics and personal care: about 19%
  • Shoes, bags, accessories: about 19%
  • Mother, baby: about 18%
  • Books, stationery, hobby: about 18%
  • Home, living, DIY: about 17%
  • Supermarket, grocery: about 17%
  • Electronics: about 14%
  • Mobile phones: about 10%

Remember: as shown in the example, a separate 20% VAT is added on top of all these rates, and the per-shipment service fee is added on top of all of them too. Seeing a different rate in your panel than in the table is normal — the panel wins.

Step-by-step net profit example

Suppose you sell a home-and-living product to the customer for 360 TL (VAT-inclusive, 20%) and it costs you 156 TL VAT-inclusive. Let your category commission be 17%. Deduct the items in order:

  1. VAT-excluded sale amount: 360 ÷ 1.20 = 300 TL (VAT collected 60 TL). Withholding is calculated on this amount; commission is applied to the VAT-inclusive 360 TL.
  2. Commission: 360 × 17% = 61.20 TL.
  3. VAT on commission: 61.20 × 20% = 12.24 TL → total commission deduction 73.44 TL.
  4. Per-shipment service fee: 4.75 + VAT = 5.70 TL.
  5. Shipping (desi-based, example): 48 TL. The real figure varies by desi and campaign; take your own tariff from the panel.
  6. 1% withholding: 1% of the VAT-excluded sale = 300 × 1% = 3 TL.
  7. VAT payable: sales VAT minus the VAT on product cost, commission, shipping and the service fee (deductible VAT). Sales VAT is 60 TL; deductible VAT is 26 (cost) + 12.24 (commission) + 8 (shipping) + 0.95 (service fee) = 47.19 TL; VAT payable is 60 − 47.19 = 12.81 TL. If it turns negative it carries over and is not added to profit. Cost, shipping and the service fee are entered VAT-inclusive; verify the exact figure on your accounting summary.
  8. Product cost: 156 TL.

Net profit = 360 − 156 − 73.44 − 5.70 − 48 − 3 − 12.81 = 61.05 TL. Net margin about 17%. Note: a seller who applied the rate to the VAT-excluded 300 TL (a 51 TL commission) and forgot the service fee would think this product made about 76 TL; under the tool’s assumption the real profit is 61.05 TL, a gap of nearly 15 TL. Instead of running these seven steps by hand on every product, enter your price, cost and commission rate into the Pazarama profit calculator and let commission, commission VAT, the service fee and withholding be separated automatically.

The service-fee trap on small baskets

Run the same math on a cheap 45 TL product and the picture changes. VAT-excluded sale 37.50 TL; 17% commission 45 × 17% = 7.65 TL, 9.18 TL with VAT; service fee 5.70 TL; shipping easily 40 TL by desi; withholding 0.38 TL. Excluding product cost, platform and shipping deductions alone exceed 55 TL — more than the entire sale price. On such a product a single-unit sale is mathematically a loss; profit only comes with multi-packs, cases, or a higher price.

The lesson: on Pazarama, knowing the commission rate is not enough for a low-priced product. The fixed service fee and shipping are far more decisive in proportional terms than commission. Do not set your price without seeing these two fixed items.

When is the money paid, and what is the net payout?

On Pazarama the sale amount is transferred to your IBAN not instantly but on a settlement schedule agreed in your contract — in practice typically about 14–21 days after delivery confirmation. Verify the exact term by seller type and contract from your panel; a generic “it is paid on this day” statement will not be correct for every store.

The amount that lands on payment day is not your gross sales; it is the net payout after commission, commission VAT, the per-shipment service fee, shipping and withholding are deducted. VAT payable does not appear on the payout line but is remitted separately to the state in your filing period; you need to include it in your profit calculation too. If you do not track these lines through the breakdown, you cannot see how much each item is eating.

Four rules to build net profit correctly

  1. Get the base right: the commission rate is applied to the VAT-inclusive sale price (the tool’s assumption); withholding is taken from the VAT-excluded sale amount. Mixing the two breaks the math at different VAT rates (1%, 10%).
  2. Add the commission VAT: on Pazarama, 20% VAT is stacked on top of commission; the effective deduction is the VAT-inclusive price × rate × 1.20.
  3. Keep fixed items separate: the per-shipment service fee (4.75 TL + VAT) and shipping are deducted as TL, not as a rate; on a cheap product these are larger than commission.
  4. Spread withholding and VAT: the 1% withholding is calculated on the VAT-excluded sale and leaves as cash today; VAT payable is what remains of the sales VAT after the deductible VAT is subtracted. Neither appears on the payout line, yet both directly affect profit.

Instead of applying these four rules by hand on every product, use the Pazarama profit calculator again; it also reverse-calculates the price you need to sell at for your target margin. To see whether selling the same item is more profitable on Pazarama or another channel, the marketplace profit comparison tool compares channels whose commission VAT models differ on a single screen — looking at raw rates is misleading. To see withholding as a whole, you can also use the e-commerce withholding tax calculator.

Three frequently asked questions

How much is the Pazarama service fee, and is it included in commission?

The service fee is not included in commission; it is a separate line. The reference amount is 4.75 TL per shipment plus 20% VAT (about 5.70 TL). It is a fixed deduction independent of the product price; verify the exact amount per your contract from the panel.

Is VAT added to the commission?

Yes. On Pazarama the category commission is applied to the VAT-inclusive sale price, and a separate 20% VAT is then added on top of the resulting amount. The total deducted on the commission line is 1.20 times the commission amount. On Trendyol the VAT is inside the commission amount. Pazarama does not officially state this base; the tool assumes it, so verify the exact amount on your commission invoice.

Where do I see my exact rate and term?

From the commission/agreement screen in the Pazarama Partner panel (the contractual rate) and the actual commission line on your payout breakdown (what was actually deducted). If the two do not match, there is either a campaign-period arrangement or an error; in both cases it is worth querying the statement line.

Knowing the rate is not enough — you have to track the deduction

Pazarama is a growing channel, and commission rates, the service fee and terms are updated from period to period; you only see the actual deduction on your payout breakdown. Instead of memorizing the reference table, redo the calculation with the tool above whenever price or cost changes, and check the breakdown line by line. If you also sell on Trendyol, Amazon, Hepsiburada or eMAG, Riseluc automates this tracking in those stores: it processes the deductions on every order and derives net profit per product — with the real amounts from the payout breakdown on Trendyol and Amazon, and estimated from order data on Hepsiburada and eMAG. On Trendyol it alerts you when a deduction is larger than expected and prepares a dispute draft for a deduction it judges unfair; it does not automatically bring the money back, but it shows what was over-deducted and why, with evidence in hand.

One final reminder: the commission rate, per-shipment service fee, shipping and withholding amounts in this article vary by category, your contract and the campaign period; the calculation here is only an example and does not replace your contract or your payout breakdown. Verify the exact commission rate, service fee and payment term that apply to your store from the official source — the Pazarama Partner (İş Ortağım) panel — where you see exactly the commission applied to you as a seller. Instead of running the seven items in the example by hand on every product, you can enter your price, cost and commission rate into the Pazarama profit calculator and have commission, commission VAT, the service fee and withholding separated automatically.
